Currencies: Dollar boosted as markets eye Fed

LONDON (MarketWatch) -- The U.S. dollar drifted higher against most major counterparts Tuesday, buoyed by growing convictions the Federal Reserve will signal a potential pause in its aggressive rate-cutting strategy after another quarter-point rate cut widely anticipated Wednesday.
