FDA withholds approval of Merck cholesterol drug

SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Merck & Co. said Monday that the Food and Drug Administration denied approval of its Cordaptive cholesterol drug, pending the submission of further information from the pharmaceutical giant.
